Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: this draft is being prepared by counsel. The summary below describes our intended practice; the full legal policy will replace it before paid sign-ups go live.
In short
We hold two kinds of data: information about you, our customer (name, work email, company, billing details), and information about UK planning applications and government tenders that is already a matter of public record.
Customer data
We collect what we need to provide the service: your account identity, your saved filters, and your billing details (via Stripe — we never see your card number). We do not sell, share, or use this data for advertising. You can export and delete it from your account at any time, and we'll honour deletion requests within 30 days.
Public-record data
Planning agents publish their contact details on local-authority portals as part of the legal application process. Government procurement officers publish theirs on Contracts Finder and Find a Tender. We aggregate this information for the purpose of helping our customers find legitimate business opportunities — a use consistent with the public-interest basis under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f).
If you are an individual who appears in our planning or contracts data and wish to be removed, email info@houseofplanning.co with the application reference or contract notice. We will confirm and remove within 14 days.
Cookies
We use a single first-party cookie for authentication. We do not run analytics that involve personally identifying our visitors, and we do not run third-party trackers or ad pixels.
Data location
Our database is hosted on Neon's London (eu-west-2) region. Application servers run on Vercel's London edge. Email is handled by Google Workspace and Resend. All sub-processors are GDPR-compliant.
